Difference between TDR and Disneyland Resort (USA)

There are many differences between TDR and Disneyland Resort(DLR). DLR is much larger than TDL. Disneyland is twice thirds times as large as TDL. I think you can't enjoy all of Disneyland in 1 day. So you have to stay for several days to go around DLR. DLR is consisted of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Disneyland differ little from TDL, but there is a great difference between California Adventure and other Disneyparks. California Adventure has many genuine roller coasters and target on the older group than Disneyland and other Disneyparks.

Souvenir

I think that most of you buy many souvenirs before you leave TDR. There are many kinds of souvenirs, such as writing tools whose shape is just like Mickey. Also, many people buy pair cellphone straps. Even though you don't have girlfriend or boyfriend, they can be shared by you and your best friend.
If you want to give souvenirs so many people, I recommend you buying sweets. They are not only delicious but also cute. I suppose that you can't throw away a canister because its design is full of Disney characters.
But you should buy souvenirs thinking about your financial situation : )

Sometimes, you may realize that you forget buying souvenirs for somebody. When you want to buy souvenirs after you left TDL or TDS, you should go to BON VOYAGE. It is a big Disney shop which is located next to JR Maihama Station. "Bon voyage!" means "Have a good trip!" in French. So the shape of the building is like a big suitcase. It is open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. If you don't want to buy souvenirs in crowded shops, I recommend going Bon voyage before you enter TDL.
The salesfloor is very large.

Hidden Mickey

A Hidden Mickey is a representation of Mickey Mouse that has been written in the design of a ride, attraction, or other location in a Disney theme park. There are many Hidden Mickey in TDL and TDS. When waiting time is very long, searching around for Hidden Mickey will be a good time-killer. Many people search Disney Park for hidden Mickey and ask staff to tell where Mickey hides. They wants to take Hidden Mickeys' pictures. Sometimes, Mickey hides in stuff's costume. It is said that more than 100 Hidden Mickey exist in TDR!

Food

We can eat many delicious food everywhere. But only the restaurants in TDS are licensed to sell alcohol. There are many varieties of restaurants, such as Japanese-food restaurant, bar and hamburgar shop.

Also, we can buy snacks on the roadside. The most popular snack is popcorn. In TDL, you can eat 6 kinds of popcorn; caramel, chocolate, curry, soy sauce and butter, salt and honey. In TDS, you can enjoy 7 kinds of popcorn; black pepper, caramel, chocolate, strawberry, curry, tea with milk and cranberry.

If you spend about 1000 yen, you can get a souvenir cup. Souvenir cup has varieties of shapes and design. Some people have a large collection of souvenir cups.

Parade

There are two parades in TDL, Jubiliation! and  Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights. Both are held once a day. They starts next to the Haunted Mansion, flows past Cinderella Castle and exits beyond Toontown.
Jubiliation! (about 20 minutes)
This parade began in honor of the 25th Anniversary TDL on April 15, 2008. You can see princes dancing with their princesses, forest friends romping in the woods, the mysterious jungle, the wide open sea, etc. It consists of nine colorful floats that feature several Disney characters in fantastical worlds. Minny leads the parade and Mickey closes it.

Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights
This is a nighttime parade full of lights. The gorgeous parade turns the TDL into a blight world of sparkling lights and Disney music. But if it is rainy, the parade is canceled and Nightfall Glow is presented.

In TDS, there are no parades. But we can watch The Legend of Mythica, a show on water.
The Legend of Mythica
It starts at 2:30 pm and ends about 3 pm. This show is based on the fictional story, The Legend of Mythica. I can't express the beauty of the show, so please watch this movie.
